Aquatic Center

Let's get swimming!
I'm not too sure about this whole thing.
Playing under the water fall.
Abby sure helped make it a fun day!
Even though it is still very cold outside we decided to take a 'field trip' to the Aquatic Center.  The kids were so excited and of course we had to have Abby come with us....Good thing, because she was such a great help to me.  Emma was scared at first.  It had been awhile since she had been swimming.  After a little while she warmed right up to it.  The kids all had a blast.  Tucker and Parker kept asking to go on the big slide, but I didn't think they were big enough...they proved me wrong.  With Abby's help they both went down the water slide and I would catch them at the bottom.  I wish I would have been able to get some pictures of them, but it's pretty hard taking pictures when you are in the pool!

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day is always a day to celebrate and this year we did something new.  We made a batch of cupcakes and left them out to see if the 'Leprechauns' would decorate them.  The kids were so excited the next morning to wake up and find the 'Leprechauns' had been to our house!  They decorated the cupcakes, scattered paper shamrocks all over, and even painted my toes green! (The kids thought that was really funny and Emma still talks about it!)  The best part for the kids was when they found coins hidden in their cupcakes....yes, they have all discovered that it's good to have money!

Birthday Party Princess

Emma's 3rd Birthday was so fun and we couldn't wait for the party!  First thing that morning, the kids wanted to put the party hats on and start the celebration.  The boys even ended up taking their naps with party hats on...silly boys!  We had pizza & soda before the party.(We don't have soda too often, so that is a real treat!)Finally, all the party guests arrived and the party began.  Emma was just so cute and more then happy to be the center of attention.... after all she is the 'Princess'.

3 years ago today......

Emma Kaye Haltom entered the world and our lives!  Waking up that morning, I could have never predicted how the day would proceed........Bill got the call at 6:30am telling us that our baby girl was being born.  He then called me at the gym and we both cried.  What an unexpected blessing and gift our little Emma is to us.  We are so grateful for her birthmother who gave us the most precious gift.  We know it could not have been easy to make such a courageous and selfless decision.  We will love her and her family forever, because well......we are all family now; linked by one curly-headed, brown-eyed, sweet, lovable, precious little girl---EMMA KAYE!
